EIS Rates
Under EIS, employees will be given a portion of the insured salary from the 0.4 percent monthly contribution. Employers must contribute 0.2%, while employees will contribute the remaining 0.2%. The contributions will be on a fixed rate based on the employees’ salary. Monthly contributions start from 5 cents for workers earning RM30 a month, while the maximum amount of contribution is capped at RM7.90 for those earning RM 4,000 and above.

EIS Claim Process
- Loss of employment
- Assessment and verification of loss of employment
- Preparation of supporting documents
- Submit to EIS Board within 60 days from the date considers has lost of employment
- Approval of claim
Following Not Constitute Loss of Employment
- Voluntary resignation
- Expiry of contract of service
- Retirement
- Termination by mutual consent without terms and condition
- Completion of work in accordance with the terms of contract of service
- Misconduct
