  1. What is self-billed e-Invoices?
    \n<\/strong>When a sale or transaction is concluded, an e-Invoice is issued by Supplier to recognise income of the Supplier (proof of income) and as a record for purchases made \/ spending by Buyer (proof of expense).
    \nHowever, there are certain circumstances where another party (other than the Supplier) will be required to issue a self-billed e-Invoice.<\/li>\n
  2. What are the transactions that require self-billed e-Invoices?
    \n<\/strong><\/strong>For e-Invoice purposes, Buyer (assumes the role of Supplier) and issue self-billed e-Invoices for the following transactions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

    2<\/td>\nGoods sold or services rendered by foreign suppliers<\/td>\nForeign seller<\/td>\nMalaysian Purchaser<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    3<\/td>\nProfit Distribution (dividend distribution)<\/td>\nRecipient of the distribution<\/td>\nTaxpayer that makes the distribution<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    4<\/td>\nE-Commerce<\/td>\nMerchant, service providers<\/td>\nE-Commerce \/ Intermediary Platform<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    5<\/td>\nPay-out to all betting and gaming winners<\/td>\nRecipient of the pay-out<\/td>\nLicensed betting and gaming provider<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    6<\/td>\nAcquisition of goods or services from individual taxpayers who are not conducting a business<\/td>\nIndividual taxpayer providing goods or services<\/td>\nPerson acquiring goods or services<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    7<\/td>\nInterest Payment<\/td>\nRecipient of interest payment<\/td>\nTaxpayer that makes the interest payment<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    8<\/td>\nClaim, compensation or benefit payments from the insurance business of an insurer<\/td>\nPolicyholder \/ Beneficiary<\/td>\nInsurer<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/li>\n
  3. Can I issue self-billed e-Invoice for any circumstance that is not listed under Section 8.3 of the e-Invoice Specific Guideline?
    \n<\/strong>No, please note that issuance of self-billed e-Invoice is only permitted for circumstances that are provided under Section 8.3 of the e-Invoice Specific Guideline<\/a>.

  4. Can I issue self-billed e-Invoice if my supplier did not issue e-Invoice to me?
    \n<\/strong>Issuance of self-billed e-Invoice is only permitted for circumstances that are provided under     Section 8.3 of the e-Invoice Specific Guideline<\/a>. Where the transaction does not fall within Section 8.3 of the e-Invoice Specific Guideline<\/a>, taxpayers are not allowed to issue self-billed e-Invoice.
