What is Akta 446 or Act 446?
Akta 446 is the 2019 Employee’s Minimum Standards of Housing, Accommodation, and Amenities Regulations. It was gazetted on 1 June 2020 but got extended to 1 September 2020 in terms of implementation. The standards are applicable for West Malaysia and Labuan.
The objective of Akta 446 is to improve employees’ safety and health, especially during these Pandemic times.
